Dockside green

Windmill Developments partnered with BuildGreen to win the RFP for this landmark redevelopment of a 15-acre brownfield property owned by the City of Victoria, with three of our current team members as active contributors.

It is now being built-out over seven years as the continent’s finest example of a large urban infill green development.  This LEED Platinum development has earned the distinction of being one of 16 Clinton Climate Initiative Climate Positive developments, and is a new benchmark for triple bottom line achievement. It is a first-rate example of design excellence and innovation.

Its first mixed-use building, Synergy, earned the highest LEED score ever, with 63 out of 70 possible points.

BuildGreen Solutions provided sustainability consulting for the project, as well as LEED advisement and submissions.  From guidance on healthy materials choices to renewable power investments, BuildGreen played a pivotal role in concept development and implementation.

The total value of the project is approximately $500 million, and construction of the first phase, Dockside Wharf, is nearly complete.
